About Spinney View Barn

Spinney View Barn is a special barn dating back to the 1700’s which was converted several years ago. With magnificent oak beams and original character, this splendid barn also enjoys luxurious furnishings, a lovely wood burning stove for the cooler months, and a court yard with glorious views over the National Forest.

We pride ourselves in providing a relaxing and romantic atmosphere for the duration of your stay. If you want to take yourself and your loved ones away for an unforgettable few days, then come and enjoy some stunning views and lovely walks in the countryside. 

Spinney View Barn comfortably sleeps six in two spacious double bedrooms (one with en-suite) and a third twin room.

All rooms have windows overlooking fields in the countryside with sheep grazing in them thoughout the majority of the year.

With direct access to the National Forest from your door, you will be perfectly situated on the owners non-working farm for walking and enjoying the great outdoors, and listening to the birds (over 100 bird species have been observed locally).

It's a 15 minute walk to the local village of Rosliston where you will find a range of facilities including a grocery store, fish and chip shop, post office, St Mary’s church (14th Century), some local pubs and an excellent tea room at the Beehive Centre which has well stocked lakes for those that like a bit of fishing.

Just over a mile away is the Forestry Centre where you can see some great birds of prey, join some cycling trips and lama walks, try out your archery skills, or spend some time with the children in a dedicated outdoor play area and much more.
